Natural Beach Treasures
Monday the 10th of November 2025
Today our City to Sea adventure took us back to Newcastle Beach for another day of discovery. The children began by drawing beautiful pictures of beach life before exploring our very own section of sand, lined with our shoes to show this was our safe play space. We found jelly pieces, sea sponges, cuttlefish and all sorts of treasures. With the tide high and the Canoe Pool inaccessible, we settled into a sheltered sandy spot near the beach wall to escape the wind. From there, we watched in awe as the waves curled, and the wind blew mist from their tips. We talked about how the tides change each day and why it’s important to leave what we find on Country, so these natural treasures remain for others, and for us, to enjoy on future visits.
