Beach Safety

Today City to Sea adventure focused on beach safety, thanks to a special visit from Imogen from Surf Life Saving. Imogen taught the children important tips and tricks for staying safe by the sea, including the hand signals lifesavers use and some fun games to help them remember. She also explained what rips and tides are, how to spot them, and what to do if you ever need help while at the beach. One very special highlight of the day was watching a seagull land on a lady’s head—she calmly walked along the beach with the bird still perched there, much to the children’s amazement! We also built sandcastles and decorated them with the treasures we had collected, adding a fun and creative finish to our adventure.
