A Visit to Multiverse Brain at Newcastle Art Gallery Pt.2

20th August 2026 brought another special adventure to Newcastle Art Gallery. This time, our second group of children ventured to experience the Multiverse Brain exhibition by Torres Strait Islander artist Brian Robinson.

Our guide today was Jane and what a wonderful experience she created for the children. Her connection to culture, her storytelling and the way she engaged with the children was truly special.

Jane shared stories, sang with the children and encouraged them to look closely at the artworks, helping them discover the many perspectives and layers of meaning within Brian Robinson’s exhibition.

The children were captivated as they explored the vibrant artworks and considered how culture, stories, imagination and pop culture can come together through art.

It was another beautiful opportunity to step outside our preschool walls and connect with art, culture and our local community, learning through listening, looking, singing, wondering and sharing.

We are so grateful for these opportunities to experience the richness of the arts within our own community.
